Finished Project: Night Stand Refinish

I finished my night stand project this week! I’m pleased as a peach with how it turned out. Here are some photos!

Here is the side I showed you before…

And here is the other side. I decided flowers weren’t quite whimsical enough so I added a rabbit. For some reason it just makes it hilarious to me.DSC_0002DSC_0006 DSC_0007   And there’s some side/front views and with the knobs. The knobs are kind of… lackadaisal at the moment. I’ll probably pick up some brass knobs at some point. In the meantime I just colored the white knobs black with a permanent marker… It works for making nice looking pictures at least ;)

Just as a recap, here are the before and after shots:

I used MinWax Ebony stain for the painting (using a technique I found here) and then finished it with Polycrylic Satin.

On another note, I mentioned last week that my computer decided to stop charging. Well Jason was a doll and fixed up the charger for me! And then last night I was sitting in this fancy electronic lazy boy chair that is at his parent’s house, not realizing my purse with my laptop was underneath, and totally cracked the screen. $%&@%&*(. I just ordered a new screen, and am hoping sincerely that the screen is the only thing I damaged in my dumb-assery, and not the mother board haha… We shall see. In the meantime I should be able to still get some things on here using other people’s computer. I really hope this streak of computer woes is over soon!  Jason’s laptop has also been put through the wringer lately (the charger on his is barely working, and our fancy light bulb burned a huge hole through the back/partially burned the screen. We live a hilarious life, I tell you.) and it’s getting to be a pain having half functioning machines all the time. We may just need to invest in a used desktop or something, something reliable that we can’t drop or crack under chairs, that is stationary and safe from our clumsiness.

At any rate, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

This is absolutely amazing. I may just find a reason to do this somewhere in our home! Thank you. :)
